All consultations on Nursicon are for informational and educational purposes only. Expert advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 1. Platform Services

Nursicon provides a platform connecting nurses and nursing professionals with expert mentors and consultants. Our services include:

  • One-on-one video consultations with verified nurse experts
  • Booking and scheduling management
  • Payment processing for consultation fees
  • Gift session functionality

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Client Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation Timeline:

  • 48+ hours before session: Free cancellation, full refund
  • 24-48 hours before session: 25% cancellation fee applies
  • Less than 24 hours before session: 50% cancellation fee applies

Clients should aim to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the scheduled session to avoid fees. Any cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours will incur a fee to compensate the expert for the last-minute change.

How to Cancel:

  • Log into your account and manage your booking through the dashboard
  • Or email your cancellation request to hello@nursicon.com, including booking details for faster processing

Rescheduling:

Clients can reschedule sessions through their dashboard. The same timeframes apply for rescheduling as for cancellations. Rescheduling within 48 hours may incur fees.

Expert Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation Timeline:

  • 24+ hours before session: Free cancellation, no penalties
  • Less than 24 hours before session: Late cancellation - 50% of session rate deducted from earnings

Experts can cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the session start time to avoid any fees or deductions. Cancellations within 24 hours are considered late and may result in:

  • A fee (typically 50% of the session rate) deducted from the expert's future earnings
  • Potential impact on their profile rating or visibility if done repeatedly
  • Compensation to the client for the inconvenience of a last-minute cancellation

Professional Standards:

Experts are expected to maintain professional reliability. Repeated late cancellations may result in account review, reduced visibility in search results, or account suspension in severe cases.

3. Payment Terms & Platform Fees

Client Payment Structure:

  • Session Price: Clients pay 100% of the session price set by the expert.
  • Example: For a $50 session, the client pays exactly $50.00.
  • No Hidden Fees: The price displayed is the price you pay - no additional platform fees are added to client charges.

Revenue Split (Expert Payouts):

  • Expert Share: 80% - Experts receive exactly eighty percent (80%) of the session price.
  • Platform Fee: 20% - Nursicon retains twenty percent (20%) of the session price.
  • Stripe Processing Fees: Nursicon covers 100% of all Stripe payment processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).
  • Clean Payout: Experts always see their clean 80% share without any deductions for payment processing.

Gift Sessions:

  • Gift sessions are purchased at the full session price
  • Gift recipients receive a unique redemption code valid for 30 days
  • Unredeemed gifts are non-refundable after 30 days
  • The 80/20 revenue split applies to redeemed gift sessions

4. Revenue Share & Payouts

Revenue Split Structure

Nursicon operates on an 80/20 revenue share model for all expert consultations:

  • Expert Share: 80% - Experts receive exactly eighty percent (80%) of the session price set for each consultation booking.
  • Platform Fee: 20% - The platform retains twenty percent (20%) of the session price as an operational fee.
  • Client Payment: Clients pay 100% of the session price. For a $50 session, the client pays $50.00, the expert receives $40.00, and Nursicon receives $10.00.

Payment Processing Fees

Nursicon covers 100% of all Stripe payment processing fees:

  • Standard Stripe fee: 2.9% + $0.30 USD per successful charge
  • Any additional processing fees imposed by Stripe or payment networks
  • Currency conversion fees (if applicable)
  • Dispute or chargeback fees

Experts receive their 80% share without any deductions for payment processing fees. All processing costs are absorbed by Nursicon from the platform's 20% operational fee.

Payout Schedule

Expert payouts are processed according to the following schedule:

  • Frequency: Weekly, every Monday
  • Hold Period: 48-hour (2 business day) hold from session completion
  • Transfer Method: Direct transfer via Stripe Connect to linked bank account
  • Processing Time: 2-3 business days from payout initiation to bank account deposit

Stripe Connect Requirements

To receive payouts, experts must:

  • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding and identity verification
  • Maintain an active Stripe Express account in good standing
  • Provide accurate banking information for direct deposits
  • Comply with Stripe's Terms of Service and applicable payment regulations

Tax Responsibility

Experts are solely responsible for:

  • Reporting all income received through the platform to appropriate tax authorities
  • Paying applicable income taxes, self-employment taxes, and other tax obligations
  • Maintaining accurate records of earnings and transactions
  • Providing tax documentation (W-9, 1099, etc.) as required by law

Revenue Share Modifications

The 80/20 revenue split is guaranteed for all existing experts at the time of any policy change. Nursicon will provide 90 days advance written notice of any changes to the revenue share structure. Changes will not apply retroactively to existing bookings or pending payouts.

5. Refund & Guarantee Policy

Money-Back Guarantee:

We offer a satisfaction guarantee for first-time consultations. If you're not satisfied with the value of your first consultation, contact us within 48 hours for a full refund.

Refund Conditions:

  • Refunds must be requested within 48 hours of the consultation
  • A brief explanation of dissatisfaction is required
  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds unless rescheduled

Cancellations & Rescheduling:

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before scheduled session
  • Cancellations within 24 hours incur a 50% cancellation fee
  • Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the session

6. Privacy & Security

Payment Security:

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • We are PCI DSS compliant
  • Credit card information is never stored on our servers
  • HTTPS encryption is enforced across the platform

HIPAA Compliance:

  • Nursicon consultations are HIPAA-compliant for general nursing advice
  • No Protected Health Information (PHI) should be shared during consultations
  • Video calls are conducted through secure, encrypted platforms
  • Session recordings (if enabled) are stored securely

Data Usage:

We collect minimal data necessary for platform operations. Your personal information is never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information during registration and booking
  • Maintain confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Be punctual for scheduled consultations
  • Treat experts and other users with respect
  • Use the platform for lawful purposes only
  • Do not share or distribute consultation content without consent

8. Limitation of Liability

Nursicon acts as a platform connecting users with experts. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The platform and expert consultations are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Nursicon is not liable for:

  • Actions or advice provided by experts
  • Outcomes resulting from consultations
  • Technical issues preventing access to scheduled sessions
  • Third-party service disruptions (Zoom, Stripe, etc.)
